Awarded contract by Cairn to complete environmental and multibeam surveys offshore Greenland

The MV Poseidon will be returning to Greenlandic waters as soon as possible to carry out further surveys on behalf of Cairn Energy. The contract is due to last 30 days with the strong possibility of an extension. The project will involve Environmental surveys carried out in conjunction with Benthic Solutions Limited and mulitbeam surveys utilising both the Reson Seabat 7125 and Reson 8160 MBES.  The MV Poseidon will be supported by an Ice Breaker as the ice cover is expected to be very thick in some areas for static operations.
