As part of the quality management approach with regard to Neptune ehf’s operations, the company has decided to adopt ISO 14001 Environmental standards with the company management system.
As a result, Clients will be able to have formally documented assurance that Neptune ehf operates to recognised standards with regards to environmental control that is fundamentally important for the highly regulated industries such as the oil & gas and life science sectors.
Neptune believe that the achievement of accreditation in both ISO 18001 and in due course 14001 will apply to a wide range of company operations and demonstrate clearly that the company management accepts no compromise on safety and the protection of the environment. It also clearly demonstrates that the operations and services provided meet and comply with recognised environmental and health & safety standards.
Svanberg Snorrason in charge of the implementation of ISO14001 said:
“Many of our operations are undertaken in environmentally sensitive areas. By including the development of ISO 14001 as part of the overall company management system, we can provide assurance to our clients that full consideration has been given to all the potential hazards and we have ensured that the environment and the local wildlife are fully protected.”
Neptune currently conforms to the high standards for environmental control as required by the International Safety Management Code (ISM). The attainment of ISO 14001 compliance will be a further addition to ensure the company continually improves in all aspects of their onshore and offshore operations.
