Neptune ehf records good Safety statistics for 2010

The company has again recorded excellent safety statistics for 2010 with no recordable lost time incidents or accidents for a total of 1,856,448 working hours in 2010.  This excellent record follows on from the 2009 statistics where the company recorded 331,000 working hours in a similar manner.

Overall, Neptune ehf in the last two years has worked in some of the harshest environments on Earth during a number of differing projects and operations.

The achievement of a total of in excess of two million working hours in safety is a considerable achievement and supports the safety management approach taken by the company. Most importantly it is a clear demonstration of the individual personnel involved who have made a full commitment to work safely for the benefit of all which has enhanced the safety success in all projects undertaken by Neptune ehf.

Mr Patrick Bennett, Operations Manager commented:

“The recent series of audits including those from the Government flag state of the vessels showed that all personnel from the Board of directors, the Management teams and offshore personnel had embraced all aspects of the safety culture and this to their credit has again been reflected in the excellent safety statistics they have now achieved for the 2nd year in succession”
