Neptune have found the need to develop a platform that can be used to share ideas and expertise, share documents, calendars and other data between users in different locations. After extensive testing Neptune selected Microsoft’s SharePoint server 2007 and built a custom solution called ICE.
ICE is composed of internal interactive websites designed to store and control all documents used and created by Neptune ehf. This includes commonly requested documents from human resources, all the way through to field staff.
ICE allows all those with the correct permissions to easily access all the latest information and data they need from anywhere in the world as long as they have internet and computer access. Neptune´s TQM and HSE systems are also stored and controlled on the SharePoint 2007.
