Neptune purchases two IXSEA GAPS Systems.

Neptune ehf has purchased two GAPS, IXSEA’s Global Acoustic Positioning System, for the acoustic positioning from the MV Neptune.

IXSEA GAPS was chosen as it will allow Neptune ehf to meet the high accuracy required from subsea positioning. The system will allow Neptune ehf to provide an extremely cost effective and time efficient method of providing subsea positioning primarily because the system is self-calibrating hence does not require calibration in the field – a process which often takes considerable time, particularly so in harsh environments. Neptune ehf firmly believe that by adopting technologies which drive down project costs by increasing time efficiencies, our client’s needs for improved operating efficiency will be fulfilled.
